A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME
After graduating from the School of American Ballet, Walnut Hill School and the Houston Ballet Academy, Meredith Hudson made her professional dancer debut at the age of seventeen. During tours in the United States and Europe, she has danced ballets of the classical repertoire, such as Le Lac des Cygnes, La Belle au Bois Dormant, Giselle, Coppélia, La Fille mal Gardée, The Nutcracker, etc ... as well as numerous creations (Les Indes Galantes at the Paris Opera). After having been Classical Dance Teacher at Star Academy 2 and ballet master at L'Académie Américaine de Danse in Paris from 1999 to June 2003, she created her own school in Paris.
Artistic director of the ACM Ballet Théâtre-Paris company since 1998, she often signs choreographies for young dancers, and puts on performances for a wide variety of audiences. The Lyon branch of the company, the Jeunes Danseurs d'ACM, is made up of advanced students, both French and American, and performs throughout the Rhône-Alpes region.
Since 2017, Meredith has been a classical dance teacher at the Compagnie Hallet Eghayan in Lyon.
Drawing on her knowledge of American, Russian and French techniques, she seeks to put classical technique at the service of the dancer. His teaching consists in bringing the body, even a body at first glance "difficult", to express the beauty, sometimes hidden, in each one. His double dance culture and his teaching experience both for classical and contemporary professional dancers, as well as for beginner children and adults, allow him to offer different ways of approaching a step, a position, a movement, accompanying each towards a tailor-made technique respecting both the particularities of each body and the requirements of classical dance.
